Dear all,
Seeing old colleagues and returning students after the summer break as well as many new faces remind me to update you all on the roof and skylight replacement project which has been going on since May.
RJC, the contractor expects the project to be completed and scaffolding demolished on October 26th this year. Between now and the completion date, the library will be mostly impacted from September 24 through mid- October when the contractors start working on the roof panels, the roof at base of the skylight on the western elevation and installing gutter around the roof base.
The fenced area on the upper floor, however, will remained inaccessible to staff and users until 2:00 p.m. every weekday.
The entire building, unfortunately will be impacted during the entire project.
