Exhibition Guidelines and Policy

The Asian Library’s exhibition cases are a collaborative space where UBC colleagues as well as community members or groups can partner with the Asian Library to mount exhibits that focus on Asian languages and cultures, Indigenous Asian Studies, and/or Asian Canadian history.

As the Asian Library is dedicated to upholding the values and actions laid out in the Inclusion Action Plan, Indigenous Strategic Plan, and Strategic Equity and Anti-Racism (StEAR) Framework, the Library will prioritize exhibitions relating to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives.

There are four main exhibition spaces located in the Asian Centre foyer and on the upper and ground floors of the library. We invite proposals where the Asian Library’s collections and/or services can be highlighted alongside display material from collaborators. Curation of exhibits should include the participation of at least one librarian at Asian Library.

If you are interested in exhibiting with us, please review our Exhibition Guidelines and Policy and submit your Exhibition Collaboration Proposal using the online form. For any inquiries, please email us at asian.library@ubc.ca.
